I'm Back

I feel like it has been forever since I last posted, but I assure you, I have not abandoned this blog already. Its just been a crazy couple of weeks! After 10 years of Marriage, Jay & Liz renewed their vows && all I can say is WOW!! Everything turned out absolutely beautiful! But it took a lot of preparation and planning on their part which left me with a lot of time to get to know the kiddos ;) Needless to say, I spent a good portion of the next Sunday catching up on lost sleep… but take a look at a few of the pics and you’ll see why it was all worth it!

Here are some other things we've done over the past few weeks....

We went to the zoo!



Kenzie graduated first grade!! I am so proud of her & excited for the summer activities! Me & Londyn will love to have her join in on our "Naptime adventures" we do while Christian is sleeping like going on a little backyard picnic. We started farther away from the house but she got to hot so we settled for the shade by the side of the house. Here are some silly shots :D



We went out for Chinese one night, & I guess they take a picture by this rock once a year. So I whipped out my camera and got in on the action as well :)



I have a new workout partner! The one and only... Hannah!! We are only 2 days in to it and she has already had to talk me into working out :)



And last but not least, I thought I would share some of the yummies we have been making on Treat Tuesdays, starting with Trix Treats, which were supposed to be Trix Sticks, but I forgot the popcicle sticks, so yeah... Anyway these are made just like Rice Krispy Treats, just obivously with Trix to add a little fun. Poke a popcicle stick in and you will offically have trix sticks!



We also made cookie ice cream sandwhiches (the reason I need a workout buddy), which are sooo yummy and easy.... Take some cookies, if you awesome enough you can make homemade ones, but we just used pillsbury, and throw on a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Genius!! Even better rolled in sprinkles! I forgot to take a pic of ours, but here are some that look better anyway :)

I was going to wait to post these until we hung the decorations, but the Waller's actually just bought a new home & we are moving in July!! (Congrat's to the Waller's!) So we will probably not bother putting them up since we will be leaving before we know it :) So here is my new room, for now...

Mother's Day Shout Out

My awesome mom, who is anything but computer savvy may never figure out how to get on and read this, but I want to give a shout out anyway to tell the world how awesome she is!! Even from 2,000 miles away, my mom (& dad) show their love and support for me every day through the phone (yes they make me call them at least once a day, and I love it!) But that doesn't suprise me because she has always been there for me through thick and thin. When I was little I used to ask my mom that, when she was little, what did she want to be when she grew up? She would always say a mom. Now that I am older I realize how awesome that is. My mom never wanted to be anything but a mom, that is what her passion was. And she was dang good at it.

She is the perfect mix between a friend and a mom. She is always there to lead me to the correct path, but not push me down it. She loves her house clean but isn't afraid to make a mess for her famous sugar cookies. She always stands up for me, even when I won't stand up for myself. She is not afraid to say "No" at times, but she is not afraid to say "Yes" either. She teaches by example. She is my mom.

And yes I miss her like crazy.

Weekdays with the Wallers

To keep my blog somwhat interesting, I have decided to add a new section called... Weekdays with the Wallers!!,! On weeks like this one, when I am out of ideas of what to post I will post random things that we have done throughout the week :) If you have any suggestions or questions about what I should blog about, hit me up! Well here we go with our first Weekdays with the Wallers...

Because we were at the beach until late Saturday night, we did not have time to dye eggs before, so what did we do? We did them on Monday!! Here is Londyn & Mckenzie...




Ok this next thing is really random, but last year for Halloween, they bought Minnie and Mickey costumes, like the REAL Minnie and Mickey you see in Disneyland, so guess who visited the Waller house this week?? :)



I got the pleasure of being Mickey & Hannah was Minnie. Here she is hanging with the parents :)




And to wrap up the week, I went to the singles ward here for the first time!!! Its alot farther drive than I'm used to but it was well worth it! There was a girl there from South Korea who was there for her first time as well, she bore her testimony and told us how she has been bouncing around and moving to all kinds of places for the past 8 years. She said that each place is different except for the church and she always felt at home on Sundays when she would go to church. That is kind of how I felt. I am 2,000 miles away from my old ward but I still felt the spirit and was surrouned by the same loving people :)

A few days before I left, Krista and I went shopping to get me a new cute dress for my new ward so I thought I would add this cheesey picture of me in my "debut" outfit. Sorry about the flash, it was either that or an orange picture...

Myrtle Beach && Easter!!!

This weekend was the kids' spring break so we had the wonderful opportunity to go to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina!! How lucky am I?? I was already in love with the Carolinas and adding Myrtle beach into the mix just seals the deal. If you ever have to chance to go there, I highly recommend it! There is so much to see and do! We left Wednesday afternoon and got there around dusk. It was beautiful. It was my first time seeing the Atlantic ocean, which honestly looked just like the pacific except the sand was softer at the Atlantic. Oceans are really such amazing things to look at! Getting in them is another thing.. I got in with Hannah, the oldest who is 13 to boogie board on the waves and I just couldn't stop thinking about what weird creature might be under me waiting to eat my feet :] I am really bad and remembering to take pictures but I will try and get better. For now, here are some pictures I took from the trip....

We had a way fun weekend full of activities like Putt-Putt (What they call Mini- Golf, Hilarious huh?) and in room movies that are still in the theaters. Thanks Wallers!! We got home late Saturday night and woke up Easter morning and went to Church. I went with them this week because I haven't had a chance to get ready for my new ward yet. It was my first time going to a different church (they are Baptist) and it was a very interesting. It was a good experience, it renewed my testimony and made me even more excited to start fresh in my new singles ward!! Well that's it for now, Happy Easter!!! Love you all!!

Here we go!

This post is coming to you from my cute little "studio" in none other than... North Carolina!!!

I made it, my new adventure is about to begin!!

But to get to this point, I had to say goodbye {for a while} to some of the best people in the world- My Family :( Definatley not an easy thing to do...

On Wednesday, I went out to dinner with most of the girls from my mom's side of the family, where my awesome aunts, who write songs for all sorts of occassions, wrote me this little number(sung to the tune of "In the leafy tree tops")

Autum is taking her fanny to nanny
She will have lots of fun.
We will miss her a ton
We know she'll do fina in North Carolina

Cute huh? Well, not so much when your having it sang to you in public :) But thanks Lynette & Marcie, you guys are the best!! Then they all gave me some delicous smelling Viva la Juicy perfume that I ♥ and they told me to think of them whenever i smell it :)

I also got spoiled with a ton of other treats, cards, journals, money, etc. from all of my awesome family and friends. Krista, Lane and Aydri gave me a way cute gift basket of treats and the movie tangled. Krista, being her awesome self made me a gallon size bag of her famous chocolate covered cinnamon bears, enough to last me a year, mabye :] She ALSO made me a ton of food for my little going away party on Saturday including salsa, fruit pizza, cookies and other nummies! My dad made his famous homemade ice cream! I was totally spoiled and I'm sure I gained a few pounds before I left.

I won't go to much into the goodbyes the last day or I might start pouting now, and I think i've had enough to last me for a while. But I will say it was sad and I will miss them a bundle. I really have the greatest family and friends any one could ever ask for! I want to thank them for supporting me on this new journey and let them know i ♥ ♥ ♥ them!!! See ya'll soon!!

And so begins a new adventure...

Utah. I've lived here my whole life. But that is about to change. I am moving to a beautiful state called North Carolina!!

Here's how it all started...

1. I couldn't find a decent job for the longest time soo...
2. I had an idea to apply through a nanny agency..
3. Considering Child Care is pretty much the only job experience I have ever had, I was accepted!!
4. Then began the wait for the perfect family... I talked to quite a few, but none seemed quite right.
5. After a few months with the agency and not finding a good match, I almost decided to give up.
6. Then came the call from Elizabeth Waller, & I immediatley had a good feeling about these guys!! We talked a few times before they decided to fly me out to their home in North Carolina for a test run.
6. I was super nervous since it was my first time flying, I was by myself, & a job interview all rolled into one, but as soon as they picked me up from the airport I fell in love!!!
7. I had a great couple of the days with the Wallers, who are literally the best family{besides my own} that I could ever ask for!!
8. I got the job!!! I feel so blessed! I am leaving April 11th to begin my new life in NC & I can't wait to begin my new adventure with these wonderful people!!!
9. I started this blog so my awesome family and friends could join me on my year long adventure in North Carolina!!!
